Highland Escapee!

The Highland Wildlife Park is a great day out for all the family, but it hit the news for other reasons this week, when a macaque escaped from his enclosure! Honshu was on the run for several days but was eventually caught in a local garden eating from the birdfeeder. Locals, mountain rescue and drone teams aided in the search and he has now been caught will be reunited with his group in due course.

Monkeys aren't the only stars at the wildlife park though. There are snow leopards, wild cats, yaks, polar bears and reindeer to name but a few.

The park is approximately 20 minutes from Aviemore and is well worth a visit if you are staying with us.
