Families holidaying with children and older relatives will find plenty to do in Aviemore, and in the surrounding area.

Strathspey Steam Railway

One of the most enjoyable days out for all the family is a trip on the Strathsprey Steam Railway. Board the train at Aviemore and enjoy the scenery as the train steams through the forest toward Boat of Garten and on to Broomhill.

Why not disembark at Boat of Garten and enjoy lunch or a cuppa at the cafe or hotel beside the platform, before returning to Aviemore. Or for the more active, you could take a stroll back to Aviemore along the Speyside Way.

Landmark Forest Adventure Park

Another great day out is Landmark Forest Adventure Park. There really is something for everyone. There's a water slide and rollercoaster, bamboozleum, dinosaur kingdom, watch tower and butterfly house. And for the more adventurous agmost us there's the Skydive and rope adventure courses. Plenty to keep you busy all day long.
